Pathways Community Center Announces New Team

Pathways Community Center has announced that Alex Greenawalt will become their new Center Director effective June 7th. Ms. Greenawalt comes to Pathways from Keystone Substance Abuse Services where she served as Prevention Director since March of 2019. Prior to this, Alex served as Alcohol Enforcement Team Coordinator for York and Union counties. She received her B.S. in Public Health at the College of Charleston, and her MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University. Alex serves on the board of the South Carolina Association of Prevention Professionals & Advocates (SCAPPA), and is a Certified Senior Prevention Specialist.
Joining Ms. Greenawalt at Pathways are two new staff members. Ms Kayla Harmon will be serving as an Intake Specialist at Pathways with Marilyn Wilson serving clients as an Intake Generalist. Completing the Pathways team is Ms. Brandeis Green who has been serving as the center’s Business Manager for the past three years in a number of capacities and assisting in grant writing and fund raising.

Pathways Community Center’s mission is to be York County’s single location, promoting collaboration among service providers, connecting people in need with those agencies which can help them move towards self-sufficiency. As York County’s population continues to grow, so to is the number of people in crisis. Pathways is here to assist agencies and key partners in meeting the increasing demand for assistance through a collaborative approach to resource sharing at a single location.
Through our on-site partners at Pathways, coordinated care includes food, clothing, shelter and housing options, counseling, spiritual guidance, governmental assistance, medical and mental health care, substance abuse treatment, education, transportation, life skills and job training, and employment placement. The intake team facilitates those coordinated care services to best meet the needs of those assisted through Pathways Community Center.
